today we took the new car for a drive. it was the perfect day for it. we took the country roads and headed west, on empty stretches of road through quiet towns. it was quite an adventure, though, as we got caught up in detours due to a parade in dixon, then we took a wrong turn and wandered before making it to the beefaroo in sterling (it was delicious, as usual). we stopped on 38 to take pictures and eventually on more back country roads, near the wind turbines.
now we're home. the night lies before us. dinner is almost ready.
