good weekend. it was homecoming here at school, so things were crazy. we kept ourselves busy and entertained and it was well worth it! d. came out on friday night; we went to steak and shake for dinner (ugh, horrible service) and came back & had a few beers. it was so delightful to see her and i'm glad she got to take a bit of a vacay from her busy busy life! yesterday the photographer and i cleaned the apartment; later that evening, m. and a. also came in from the city! we haven't seen each other in quite some time so it was a nice reunion. got quite drunk & walked down to hang out with r. and jm. (drinking and card games and beautiful mandolin playing by the lovely r.) such a wonderful time with wonderful people!
we went to bed late and enjoyed sleeping in.
(this is, without a doubt, my favorite time of the year.)
