170)

over the next few days, i will be catching up with my progress in couch-to-5k.
needless to say, the last few months have been a little tough on my running routine, but i have a renewed interest in making it happen.  tomorrow will be day two of week six.  hooray!
anyway, here is week four, part two.

day one [3.27.12]:
since i went on vacation and then caught a cold, i thought i might benefit from repeating week four of couch-to-5k before moving on.  so... i worked out, and it wasn't one of my fastest runs, by any stretch, but i got through it!  i am glad to be giving week four another go, and probably would've repeated it even if i hadn't taken time off.  i was exhausted and sore but it felt good to be back there running again.  i'm going to ease back into it, and see where it takes me.

day two [4.7.12]:
the mister met me at the gym after a busy day at work.  there were only a few other people there and plenty of space on the machines.

i did the c25k workout and felt good!  we watched a particularly ridiculous episode of america's funniest home videos while we worked out, which helped me get through the difficult seeming parts of the run.  afterwards, i decided to hop on the elliptical for a bit.

still having a bit of a difficult time getting into the routine of going to the gym again, but i know i just have to be patient.  it will happen in time.

day three [4.9.12]:
i worked from 12-8 (and got quite the workout while i was there, really!) then came home and went to the gym with the mister.  i hopped on the treadmill, turned on some beck, and started the workout.  it passed me by in the blink of an eye!  easily one of the best runs i've ever had.  i didn't struggle with either of the 5 minute runs like i had in the past.

and that's all week 5 is, 5 minute runs and longer.  each day is different in week 5 and each day gets a little bit more difficult, but i am so ready to take on this challenge.  i had considered spending one more week doing week four workouts, but i think i'm ready for the next step.  after all, i'm practically halfway there already!
